Lard with redberry

It is a traditional dish – starter you can smear your bread with. The lard is made with redberry harvested in the autumn. A few years ago, the redberry was awarded First Place in the Contest “Our culinary heritage – tastes of the region”. Redberry is a very healthy fruit that can be added to the lard, among others. It gives a unique, acidic, dry taste and a beautiful colour.

 

Chicken soup with home-made pasta

The dish we have known for many years. A poultry and beef broth is served with hand made and cut pasta.

 

Farmer's cabbage soup

The main ingredients of this dish are potatoes, cabbage and bacon. This dish differs from other dishes made of cabbage and potatoes that every ingredient can be clearly seen and sensed with your taste. In 2007, the cabbage soup took first place and was awarded a certificate in the contest for regional dish of the Swietokrzyskie Province in Tokarnia. In 2008, it was described as “the Pearl” in the contest of “Our culinary heritage – Tastes of the Region”.

 

Swietokrzyska potato soup

Potato soup is one of the most known soups of the Swietokrzyskie Province. It is entered into the List of Traditional Products of the Ministry of Argiculture and Rural Development. The Swietokrzyskie Holiday of Potato Soup takes place every year on 15 August in the Medieval Settlement at the Glass Factory.

 

Kugel

A potato cake with ribs is a very filling and tasty dish that can be consumed as warm or cold.

 

Dumplings

Dumplings are served with a bacon grease or goulash. It is a dumpling made of grated raw potatoes combined with boiled potatoes and flour.

 

Cakes with pork meat

Tastes of childhood are the dishes that have been remembered until today. Cakes filled with pork meat with onion and a bit of butter.

 

The dishes are served on certain days of a week.
